How to create a "Glitch" Text Effect in Premiere Pro! | V.E.A.

Editor's Note:⁣
Your sequence "frame size" should be 1280 x 720 to follow along. ⁣

(You can check or change your "frame size" by clicking on "Sequence" & choosing "Sequence Settings...")⁣

Step 1:⁣
Search for "Color Balance (RGB)" under the Effects Tab".⁣

Step 2:⁣
Drag and drop the effect onto your text layer.⁣

Step 3:⁣
Hold the "alt" key & drag your text layer to a new track to duplicate (do this twice).⁣

Step 4:⁣
On the 1st Text Layer: ⁣
Change the Green and Blue value to "0" under "Color Balance (RGB)”⁣

Step 5: ⁣
On the 2nd Text Layer: ⁣
Change the Red and Blue value to "0" under "Color Balance (RGB)"⁣

Step 6:⁣
On the 3rd Text Layer: ⁣
Change the Red and Green value to "0" under "Color Balance (RGB)"⁣

Step 7:⁣
On the 2nd Text Layer: ⁣
Change the “Blending Mode” of the "Opacity" to "Screen".⁣

Step 8:⁣
On the 1st Text Layer: ⁣
Change the “Blending Mode” of the "Opacity" to "Screen".⁣

Step 9:⁣
Still on the 1st Text Layer:⁣
Toggle the "Position" animation on to create a keyframe.⁣

Step 10:⁣
Press your "right arrow” key five times ⁣
and create a second keyframe.⁣

Step 11:⁣
Press your "right arrow” key five times and create a third keyframe.⁣

Step 12:⁣
Change the "Position" value of the ⁣
second keyframe to "970".⁣

Step 13:⁣
Press your "right arrow” key three times and change the "Position" value to "955".⁣

Step 14:⁣
Press your "left arrow" key six times and change the "Position" value to "952 .3".⁣

Step 15:⁣
Now select the SECOND text layer ⁣
and toggle the "Scale" animation on (this will create a keyframe).⁣

Step 16:⁣
Press your "right arrow” key five times and create another keyframe (do this twice).⁣

Step 17:⁣
Change the "Scale" value of the ⁣
second keyframe to "101".⁣

Preview the Glitch Text Effect in your “Program” Monitor!⁣
